Mysterious Death of Lisa Swank
Swank was a daughter of Chinese Immigrants who opened a book shop in New-York.
Ever since she was born, she always had superstitious believes
and she had great interest in spirits and supernatural ghost stories. Being a
daughter of a book shop she never missed an opportunity to grab a horror story
and read it.
When she was a teenager her school friends started complaining
about Lisa’s weird behavior. She was
reported to be talking to herself whenever she was in the bathroom. Her parents
too had heard her laughing alone and even sobbing sometimes. Once there was a
complain against her for hitting a fellow class mate on her head with a rock.
Looking at her stranger behavior due to over excess of reading horror books,
her dad decided to shut his year’s long book shop.
Her dad then took a daily job in order to keep her away from
reading. Her mother had said that she used to talk to herself for hours inside
her room at night. When she asked who she was talking to, she said that it was
her 8 year old friend holding a clown in her hand and that she needed an elder
sister.
Her mother thought that since she was the only child that
might have been the cause of her depression. She was kept on strong
anti-depression pills. Even her grades at school were getting affected.
Some years went normal for the family as Lisa passed out her
school with good grades. Altogether they became a happy family. Lisa took up a
nice job at a marketing company and shifted to Boston.
When she was 24 years old, she decided to go on a vacation
along with her friends since she had been working extremely hard day in and day
out. She planned a trip to Southern California by stopping in San Diego, Los Angeles, Santa Cruz and San Francisco.
She traveled along with her friends she visited the San Diego Zoo and posted photos taken there on social media.]On January 26 she arrived
in Los Angeles. After two days, she checked into the hotel. She was initially assigned a shared room on
the hotel's fifth floor; however her friends noticed that she was behaving
weird since night. She sat at the window staring weirdly. She kept going to the
bathroom frequently and her friends could her sobbing inside.
When ever someone asked what was wrong, she
snapped back asking them to mind their own business. Her friends couldn’t believe
her attitude as she had been always nice and helpful before that tour. That
night they planned to eat at a post restaurant, but she returned to the hotel
complaining that she wasn’t feeling good.
When she came back to her room, she sat on the
bed and kept talking to someone looking at the window. And it was pouring
heavily outside. She kept saying I cannot do this, you will have to return. All
that time she kept sobbing. Later she got up from the bed and exited her room.
In the elevator she sat with folded legs and
she was talking all by herself as if she had bend down to explain something.
She then banged her head against the elevator and then on the top floor she got
out.
When her friends returned from the restaurant
they couldn’t find her anywhere around. They thought she might have gone
nearby, but since it was 1 am and she didn’t return it was then they began to
get worried.
They asked the hotel staff if they had seen
her leaving the hotel, but the staff said they didn’t notice her leaving at
all. After searching for whole rainy night, her friends gave up and decided to
file a complaint.
The search operation was on but still she couldn’t
be found anywhere, When the hotel customers complained about the water being
smelling like a rat, the manager thought about cleaning the watertank. To their
worst horror the dead body of Lisa swank was found.
Investigation officers looked through the CCTV
Footage and they saw Lisa behaving weird in the elevator, talking to someone
while standing on her knees. One of the hotel staff had complained that during
that time period that elevator was not functioning.
That was really strange. When Lisa’s parents
came to know about her sudden death they were shocked. They cremated her in
New-york. From her bag they found some horror novels. It seemed she again had
started to read those fictions and that might have done her.
This case can be called as a case of Mental
disorder due to over excess reading. Its still a mystery though, was she
actually talking to an 8 year old dead girl or was she just seeing things? We’ll
